Dropped your phone in water? Stuck in a boot loop? Black screen after a failed update? Your data might still be recoverable. This guide shows how to recover photos, contacts, and files from bricked Android devices using CheckerTR PRO.

What Counts as "Bricked"?

  • Phone won't turn on (hard brick)
  • Stuck in boot loop (soft brick)
  • Stuck on logo screen
  • Black screen but PC detects it
  • Water damaged device

Step 1: Assess the Situation

Plug your device into a PC. Check if it shows up in Device Manager or in CheckerTR PRO. If your device is detected at all (even as Qualcomm/MediaTek device), there's a good chance data recovery is possible.

Step 2: Open CheckerTR PRO

Launch CheckerTR PRO and select the Data Recovery Module. Connect your device via USB.

Step 3: Scan for Data

Click Scan Device. The software will attempt to read the storage partition even if the system doesn't boot. This works with Qualcomm EDL mode and MediaTek BROM mode.

Step 4: Select Files to Recover

After scanning, you'll see a list of recoverable files: photos, contacts, messages, documents, WhatsApp backups, and more. Select what you want and click Recover.

✅ Success Rate: Soft brick devices: 95% recovery rate. Hard brick devices: 70% recovery rate. Water damaged: depends on physical damage to storage chip.

Troubleshooting

"Device not detected at all"

Try holding Volume buttons while connecting USB. For MediaTek devices, try BROM mode (all buttons disconnected, then connect USB).

"Scan found nothing"

Try Deep Scan mode. This takes longer but searches more thoroughly for lost data.
