FRP (Factory Reset Protection) is a security feature on Samsung devices that activates after a factory reset if you're signed into a Google account. If you forgot your credentials, the phone becomes unusable. This guide shows how to remove FRP on Samsung Galaxy devices using CheckerTR PRO.

What You Need

  • A Windows PC
  • CheckerTR PRO (latest version)
  • A USB cable
  • Samsung USB drivers installed

Step 1: Download CheckerTR PRO

Get the latest version from the official GitHub page and install it on your PC.

Step 2: Boot Your Samsung into Download Mode

  1. Power off the device
  2. Press and hold Volume Up + Volume Down (for older models: Volume Down + Home + Power)
  3. Connect the USB cable while holding the buttons
  4. Press Volume Up when prompted to enter Download Mode

Step 3: Connect and Detect

  1. Open CheckerTR PRO
  2. Select the FRP Remove Module
  3. Click Detect Device — the software will recognize your Samsung model

Step 4: Remove FRP

  1. Once detected, click Remove FRP
  2. Wait for the process to complete (usually 30-60 seconds)
  3. The device will reboot automatically

Step 5: Verify

After reboot, skip through the setup wizard. If FRP was successfully removed, you won't be asked for the previous Google account credentials. Enjoy your device!

✅ Tip: CheckerTR PRO supports Samsung Galaxy A, S, Z series and tablets running One UI 5/6 and Android 13/14.

Troubleshooting

"Device not detected"

Install Samsung USB drivers, try a different USB port, or restart both PC and phone.

"FRP removal failed"

Try again in Download Mode. If it still fails, try the "Advanced Mode" in CheckerTR PRO which uses a different method.

"Phone still asks for Google account"

Some Samsung models with Android 14 may need two attempts. Run the process again.
